“We tie strings on fingers, thinking that memories lie in motionless lonliness, the private encounters of words and colours only whispered when shadowed emotions bring us back to those summer nights. If we only remembered the present, we would forget the word for nostalgia.”

“I cherish the moments when I am reborn. When I look at a face I’ve seen a thousand times and notice something new. When I catch myself listening to someone speak just to remind myself they are a part of my life. When I feel my own heartbeat within my wrist, and instead of counting down, I count up. And that’s when I realize: I am both a destroyer and a creator, a goddess and a god, a finale and a prologue. I am both engulfed in flames and reborn from ashes every moment I am breathing, because I am my own kind of beautiful chaos.”
— I live for the days when I feel alive.
